About this title
Private was created in Stockholm in 1965 by photographer Berth Milton Sr., who at first sold the magazine to newspaper kiosks himself because there was no distribution for such publications. It is generally regarded as the first full-colour explicit magazine. In 1991 the brand passed into Private Media Group, led by his son Berth Milton Jr.
