About this title
Gallery was published in Chicago and reached newsstands in November 1972. Its first issues looked so much like Playboy that the layout was quickly reworked, and financial problems led Bailey to step away within the first year. The magazine survived that difficult start and continued for decades, later published by Montcalm Publishing.
